Terra is a GTK+3.0 based terminal emulator, it supports running multiple terminals using split feature which allows you to split Terra’s terminal window vertically or horizontally like Terminator or Yakuake terminal emulators.
Terra’s user interface and functionalities combines between Guake and Terminator terminal emulator, or you can say it’s a GTK+3.0 version of Yakuake. It supports transparent backgrounds, multiple tabs, hot keys to invoke and hide Terra window, also comes with many hot keys for some functions such as splitting window, and controlling tabs.
Install Terra Terminal Emulator
Terra is available to install on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin using the official repository.
Run Terminal “Ctrl + Alt + t”, then type,
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ozcanesen/terra-terminal
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install terra
