Here’s the installation instructions for VLC 1.1.13 multimedia player on Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot using PPA. VLC 1.1.13 includes security fixes for TiVo demuxer, and several bug fixes.

VideoLAN and the VLC development team present VLC 1.1.13, a bug and security fix release.
This release was necessary due to a security issue in the TiVo demuxer.
