Unity Launcher now includes dash home icon, and Unity panel no longer has dash icon, just basic global menu along with minimize, maximize and close buttons.

New polished look for dash home menu, offering ability to search through your application, files, folders, and Music. Also searching result can be limited using search filters with suitable search filters you want.

Search Applications with applied search filters for different applications categories. also you can select application type and the rate to search through Ubuntu Software Center using your selected rating and compare it previously posted rating by other users.

Music Search according to music decade and music genre.

Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 1 Oneiric Ocelot comes with pre-installed development version of Mozilla Firefox 7.

Gwibber social network client has many enhancements and become more reliable and smoother sliding effect between home, messages, …etc.

Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail client has been updated to development version 7 as well.

New Ubuntu Software Center 4.1.2 is the default software center otherwise earlier version of Ubuntu 11.10 Alpha 3 it had the old looking software center and ability to access the new software center using command.

Same application switcher we seen earlier in Alpha 3 but now used by Alt+Tab and you still can change it using CCSM.

Ability to select between wallpapers and themes using drop down menu in appearance window.
