Since Unity user interface became the default desktop shell for Ubuntu releases, with each release of Ubuntu we see a new layout design for Unity dash, Unity lenses, and some new features comes on board, as we have seen on the last development release of Unity version 5.2 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin.
