How dramatic was the boot time change? Mine currently takes just under 30 secs on a Dell XPS m1330- 4gb ram, 2.2ghz processor
by current, I mean with 10.04
on virtual machine with the same hardware specifications took about 40 seconds, after the installation without virtual machine on dual core 2.1 Ghz and 2 GB of RAM took 25 secs.
but overall alpha 1 was performing better than alpha 2 for me. got many crashes with Alpha 2 so far.
I've been using Ubuntu 10.10 since last Beta, so I just updated. I've had a few Firefox crashes, but not as many as on previous Mint distro release.
If you get a chance take a look at some of the simple card and puzzle games, I had a bad experience with Gem DropX. I've also noticed that certain solitaire games no longer go full screen with bigger card faces, wonder how I can get that back…
