Enlightenment is a X window manager and a desktop shell. It supports several platforms and works in many devices including Desktops, Netbooks, TVs, Mobiles and devices has touch screen capabilities. [How To]: Install Enlightenment 0.17 “E17” on Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin using PPA
Run Terminal, then type,
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:efl/trunk
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install e17
After the installation process is over. You can log out and select “Enlightenment” from the session selector, and re log in. and follow the first run configurations as shown in the release notes. Now, enjoy using Ubuntu with Enlightenment 17.
