[How To]: Install Mozilla Firefox 21 on CentOS 6.4 and RHEL

Here we will use Remi repository for installing Firefox 21 on CentOS, RHEL and its derivatives.

Run Terminal, then type,

wget http://rpms.famillecollet.com/enterprise/remi-release-6.rpm

Browse the directory you have downloaded Remi repository and install it using this command with administrative privileges.

su
rpm -Uvh remi-release-6*.rpm

Finally enable Remi repository and install/update Firefox 21 using this command with administrative privileges.

yum --enablerepo=remi update firefox

[How To]: Install/Update Mozilla Firefox 21 On Fedora

Mozilla Firefox 21 has been built on Fedora 17, Fedora 18, and Fedora 19 and it will ported soon as stable release and you will be able to install using official fedora repository.

su
yum update

For early releases of Fedora such as Fedora 15 and Fedora 16 you can install it using Remi repository.

Fedora 16

wget http://rpms.famillecollet.com/remi-release-16.rpm
rpm -Uvh remi-release*.rpm
yum --enablerepo=remi update firefox

Fedora 15

wget http://rpms.famillecollet.com/remi-release-15.rpm
rpm -Uvh remi-release*.rpm
yum --enablerepo=remi update firefox

[How To]: Install/Update Mozilla Firefox 21 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail

Ubuntu repository will be updated soon with the latest stable release of Mozilla Firefox version 21 so, no need to add additional repository simply run the update manager and it will be installed along with your system updates. If you would like to install update Mozilla Firefox only you can use these commands.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install firefox

Mozilla Firefox 21 will be available to install using the official Ubuntu repository for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx, Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat, Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal, Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail. Also, the same installation instruction works on Ubuntu derivatives such as “Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu Studio, Linux Mint, …”
