[How To]: Install Audacity 2.0.4 on Ubuntu 13.04 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Audacity is a free and open-source audio recorder and advanced audio editor for cross-platform. Audacity 2.0.4 brings a new effect “Reverb” which is based on “freeverb” effect, it brings a reverberations to audio files with different presets. [How To]: Install Audacity 2.0.4 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin

This repository is only for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin and its derivatives such as Xubuntu 12.04, Kubuntu 12.04, Lubuntu 12.04, Ubuntu Studio 12.04, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Elementary OS Luna, …etc.

Run Terminal, then type the following,

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:n-muench/vlc2

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install audacity

[How To]: Install Audacity 2.0.4 On Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail

This repository is only for Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail and its derivatives such as Xubuntu 13.04, Lubuntu 13.04, Ubuntu Studio 13.04, Kubuntu 13.04, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, ….etc.

Run Terminal, then type the following,

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:n-muench/vlc

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install audacity

Download Audacity 2.0.4

For other Linux distributions you can Download Audacity 2.0.4 and install it from the source code.
