does anybody use this video chat things? i mean almost everybody i know has a smartphone, and ive never had a video chat or video phone call, isnt that just usefull, if you haven´t seen somebody in a long time? Same with the google chat its just for fun, or at least thats what i would use it for .
@3d chat: I do see what u mean about the video chat, though. I tried it a couple times, but could never get friends interested in video chat. As you say, they all just want to text or talk. Guess I’m not pretty enough for video chat – scared their dogs or something. LOL
But I am glad to get this plugin for voice calling and integrating with Google Voice phone number functions.
SWEET – this was the last piece of the puzzle that kept Linux from being my exclusive OS. Last couple years I have used Gmail+Talk voice/video plugin as my main phone line. Kept trying to switch to Linux, but this part kept me coming back to Windows, or paying for Skype-In number. Maybe now I can finally go totally Free and Open Source.
@3d chat: Yes, I know many who use Google Voice (formerly GrandCentral) as their main phone setup. Carry prepaid cellphones for emergency/occasional convenience use, but not willing to pay big money for smartphone w/monthly plan. $20 every 90 days is my only phone cost with Tracfone.
