I tested this extension on the latest stable release Gnome-Shell 3.4.1 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin and it’s working fine.
The easy way to install the extension just activate it from the gnome shell extensions page, which will install the extension on the proper place.
Open it with Mozilla Firefox.
Or, you can install it manually.
First: you will need to Download the required files form this link.
Second: copy the these files to this path, if this path does not exist create it. It does not requires administration privileges.
[How To]: Use Enhance Overview
Simply hover the mouse cursor on the application icon on the applications dash.
To activate and deactivate the extension you can use “Gnome-Tweak-Tool”.
Install On Ubuntu
Install on Fedora
yum install gnome-tweak-tool
That’s it.

I’m happy that you like my extension. When I finished some things I will fix the bugs…
Also, if you want to get involved(if you know programming a little) and do an extension is not too complicated. I’m doing a step by step tutorial to do an extension.
https://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell/Extensions/StepByStepTutorial/
It is not already finished, that’s why there’s not still a link in gnome website, but I hope that in one week I finish it.
Best regards
I do like it, you are doing such a great work. I am not really familiar with how to create an extension for Gnome Shell, However, I will check your tutorial, and hopefully I will be able to develop an extension. Thanks for the offer. Also, please feel free to send me any updates about the extensions to update the post or post a new one about it.
Regards
