Been a long time since the release of Clementine 0.7 stable on March 2011. Now Clementine developers reveled the release candidate 1 of Clementine 1.0 to test and report bugs. Clementine 1.0 RC 1 includes many new features and various bug fixes.

Clementine music player has an organized user interface and many useful features such as integrated lyrics and artist biography preview on song info tab, visualisations, listen to major internet radio station, edit audio files tags, grab music album covers, remote control using command line, support copying audio files to IPhone, IPod, and mass storage.

What’s New in Clementine 1.0 RC 1

Add support for Spotify music streamer, Grooveshark, “di.fm” and “sky.fm” internet radio stations support as well. Search through radio stations, and music libraries from single place. Add audio CD support. Provide album covers through through Amazon. Add Nyanalyzer Cat analyzer. Better grouping and filtering options for music according to artist, and album covers. Add last.fm Scrobbling option. Clementine fixes device detection using DeviceKit. Media keys notifications registered for Gnome 3. Clementine don’t use Ubuntu global menu bar.
