There are many download options for different CPU architectures and for all major operating systems including Linux.
Download the tar.bz2 file then extract it and run Blender file, it should work fine with most of Linux distributions “Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSUSE,..etc” if you have the required dependencies “glibc 2.7, includes Python 3.2 and FFmpeg”.
