Blender is a free open source 3D content creation suite, available for all major operating systems under the GNU General Public License. Blender 2.59 has been released, Blender 2.59 gets major updates and many bug fixes.

Blender 2.59 Changelog

This is mostly a bug fix release with 140 fixes since 2.58a. Additions include improved keymap editing, 3D mouse support, some new addons and Node UI improvements.

Install Blender 2.59 On Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal And Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot

We will use the same PPA used for earlier release for install Blender 2.58 in this post Here.

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:cheleb/blender-svn/ubuntu
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install blender

PPA works in Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric, Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick, Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid, and Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic
